Title Obtained the NSF P447 certification for the first time in Korea

Coway's filter for water purifier obtained a new water-related stard NSF P477 certification from NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation).

The NSF P477 was newly enacted in 2016 to certify the performance of removing microcystin of water-purifying equipment. Microcystin, one of toxins generated by cyanbacteria, is widely created when green tide occurs generally known that it become a menace to water supply.

Coway's "Plus Innocence Filter" passed the microcystin elimination performance test for the first time in Korea. Efforts for obtaining the certification were made in order to help consumers enjoy purified water with an easy mind in spite of globally widening green tide issue.

Seon-yong Lee, head of Environmental Technology Institute, said, "The certification will allow us to secure higher product safety enhance our corporate trust."

* NSF International, established in 1944, engages in the development of stards for public health environment, product certification, product test. It was officially designated as a testing lab for drinking water water purifier by WHO.
